The provision of sustainable and reliable water and sanitation facilities across South Africa has been heavily lacking as thousands of communities rely on make-shift pit toilets, and temporary chemical toilets and water tanks.

Some of the problems 

The Shukushukuma community have face issued with access to water since the start of lockdown. There are approximately 200 people who share two taps amongst themselves, and also face persistent water outages.
